To set a worlds record, we have to have proof that you were there for the roll call and the completion of the 1 mile paddle. A squad or group photo at roll call and when you complete the course works for this. Staying in group and squad formation lets us easily take photos showing everybody completing the course. Anybody can upload these photos. We back up our photos by having you check-in three times. This is very important for parade control. You check in during the 24 hours before the parade to confirm, then at roll call and then at completion. Most people will not travel with their phones but volunteers should be able to help. You should take a picture of what you are wearing before you set your phone down for roll call then another picture when you pick it back up. If you can include the vessel you are paddling or somebody else in your group that is great!
If a person does not have a genuine registration they can not verify photos as they are annonymous!
Use the “upload verification photos” on the Parade page and this should work !
Please use car pooling as this is vital for us to hold these events regularly.
