Two teams, Pirates & British. Hundreds or thousands of people can be on each team. This is called a “Flat Organizational Structure.” Any person on any team can make any team decision. (An optional third player, a referee that takes bribes, is trained in the “Bootymaster comedy lab.”)
When you create a team you are like the captain of a ship. The more crew you take on, the stronger you are but the greater chance of mutiny. Any person on your team can grab all the booty and abandon ship. They can use it to support any cause they want. We encourage mutiny! They can even recycle it into cash tips for themselves. Everything is on a public ledger and you can see who has their hands on your booty and what they are doing with it. Booty shrinks by 15% each time it is transferred. Follow it about 5 or 6 times on the public ledger during the “Getaway” and there is just about nothing left. This would sound wide open to theft if we were playing with actual money, we are not, we play with a non redeemable token called a “loony.” The nonprofit through PayPal gets all the real money when somebody donates. Loonies are simply a game score for the donations somebody has made. A loony lets you gamble, bribe, bet, steal and sell anything you want!
