250 celebrations
In 1776 "Booty" was a name given to munitions and supplies plundered from British warships that was delivered to the colonists. Without treasured "Booty" we may have never won our war for independence.

The marines were the first volunteers of the Continental Army to raise their flag Nov. 10, 1775 at the notorious pirate dive bar called the Tun Tavern. The marine mascot is a Devil Dog named Chesty. In WW1 the Germans called the Marines "Telfushound" [Ty-fus-hoond] (or devil dog, an English bulldog "Go Dawgs") for their amazing tenacity and American fighting spirit. A Bulldog is known for a bite that will not let go. You will have to visit the kennel and adopt a scurvy dog to enter the Pirate Dive Bar as only dogs are allowed inside.
