"Scurvy Dogs" dig to find or bury treasure.
Treasure is an adventure that creates good cheer or good deeds.
Use your phone to sniff out a pack of scurvy dogs close to where you live.  Then put your phone down to have an actual adventure with real people and real treasure.
Winning:  Get the most volunteer reward points of your pack. (A volunteer reward point is called a "Loony." This is short for a pirate coin called a Dubloon. See them top right of your screen under "Balance.")
Play:  Locate the city where you live.  Find or create a "Venue." A venue is where you can "check in" with a pack of scurvy dogs.
Strategy: By any means possible score the most points.
Leaderboards:  Venue, City, State / Prov, Country
Prizes: Booty, Booby, recycled cash, 10% booty tax, crew share, door prizes, 1% of episode gross of a TV series called "Special Heroes."
Method: "Get Loony" when people send you points for having an adventure that creates good cheer or good deeds.
Rules: There is only one rule "You lose."  By any means possible people will say or do anything to get you to press a button that says "Send Good Cheer." You are in the middle of snake oil salesmen, carnival barking pirates, whoremongering catfishers and judges that expect bribes.  Do you really expect to win?  At least you know the nonprofits got all the real money and all you can do is "Get Loony."
Details
A game card is called your “Country.”  A country has three parts.  Communication, Carnival and TAVE .  (TAVE stands for Thrift And Volunteer Exchange.)
Game pieces are called “Scurvy Dogs.”  There are three types of scurvy dogs, Sailor, Landlubber and Pirate.
Adopt a dog to start the adventure. Choose if the dog will be Sailor, Landlubber or pirate then teach it tricks.
Tricks are your default answers for communication, Carnival and TAVE.  Adopt as many dogs as you want and you should probably have three, one of each type.  You can also play with just one dog that doesn’t know any tricks.
Your dog will dig for treasure or bury it at each location you check into.
A typical adventure
You are the very first player in your city.  You decide to make a few venues and find players. You make the first one at the restaurant where you work. The second at the trail where you walk your dog.  The third is at your apartment pool, the fourth for your car and the last one for your boat.
Your country has QR code for a flag.  Press “Flag” and the QR code shows on your phone screen.  Show your phone screen and ask somebody to scan it.  When they do, they will visit your country and see your communication, TAVE and carnival.  They will also see a register button.  If they register, you will be listed as the person that referred them. After registration, your country page is the next thing they see.   On your communication page they see any type of communication you want to list.  It could be business card information, a resume, clickable links to your social media sites like Youtube, Only fans or Patreon or the website for your business.  For your TAVE and carnival the most important part of your communication is the app or method to livestream with you.  Livestreaming is important for things like the Karaoke Challenge Game, Boat Parades and showing others how to get your hands dirty by having a real adventure.
Pirates VS Monarchy
Pirates are scurvy dogs you meet at a venue.  Monarchy are people online that check in to the venue to watch scurvy dogs.  Although you compete with Pirates for rank the main battle is getting independence from the Monarchy.
(Similar to the quickstart, except with a pirate theme and a few more details.)
Treasure is good cheer or good deeds.  Create or search a location to bury or find treasure.
This could be the restaurant, apartment clubhouse, church, dog park, beach or other location you visit regularly.  A QR code is the compass for your treasure map.  It could be a year or a single event that grows treasure at a location.  The amount of treasure depends on how many people scan, copy and share a QR code.
Watch the mission video and "dig it" to know why your treasure hunt starts with fun to create good deeds and miracles for Special Heroes.
Summary: This nonprofit website is designed to create good cheer that rewards volunteers for their good deeds.
Loonies are volunteer reward points.  Just like the golden age of Piracy, credit cards are not used here.
You can get loony in many ways and you can make others loony in many ways.
Create loony coupons for good cheer and good deeds by visiting your dashboard. Trade them for any amount of loonies.    When somebody presses "Send Good Cheer", loonies go from their account into your account.  Recycle loonies for cash. This is like selling the little red tickets you get when you visit the fair.  Recycling is the opposite of scalping as you lose money selling leftovers.  Your "Loonies" will never be worth more than you paid for them! Loonies shrink by 15% each time they are traded.
Venues are like volunteer fire stations but without the firefighting! Just volunteers sharing good cheer and good deeds.
When you check in to a venue, it is like signing a guest book.  Instead of a signature, you post any picture you want.  Click on a picture to dig for treasure with people who live close enough to visit that venue.
For volunteers this website is like a "pot luck" dinner at a volunteer fire station. Instead of food, good cheer and good deeds are served up in a dish called "Treasure." Do you dig it?
As an example of what you can do with venues, the Atlanta Volunteers has created three venues. The first is our vocational group home for Special Heroes that is under construction, the second is our clubhouse on Lake Lanier where we teach boating and water safety by appointment, the third is a public meeting place for good cheer at Annunziata's Pizza.
Visit our venue at Annunziata's Pizza anytime online or when we meet live Saturdays 6 to 8pm during Pirate School. You can learn how to share good cheer. You might end up volunteering for good deeds with the Atlanta Volunteers once or twice a year.
We call the QR code that everybody gets a "Tramp Stamp." Play the "tramp stamp game" to invite people to your venue. Meet online then over weeks or months plan and prepare for short "flash mob" styled good cheer and good deeds. Then, like a volunteer fire station, every few months you might get the call to respond with good cheer or good deeds to help the neighborhood or city where you live.
This Atlanta Volunteers website avoids spending nonprofit resources on buildings and full time staff.  Any 501 (C) (3) nonprofit may ask to be listed to rally volunteers once we move into production with the TV series Special Heroes.
Volunteering to create a new venue is like you are planting a seed.  What will happen in a year?  Depends on how you care for that seed and give it the good cheer it needs to grow into good deeds that are the treasures of our communities.

Pirates, Mermaids and Sailors!

We mix our definition of treasure with a Pirate theme to add some fun and adventure.
"Pirate School" is boating and water safety.
"Loony" is short for a Pirate coin called a "Dubloon."
Trade loonies for treasure! (Click on the top right -if logged in- to see  your balance and your loony history.)
"Get Loony"  when you learn, do or teach boating and water safety. You also get 3 loonies for each correct trivia answer.
"Booty" is good cheer and good deeds.
"Pirate Treasure" is "Loony" discounts and specials on food and booty.
Mermaids have a QR code called a "Tramp Stamp."
A "Mermaid" is waitstaff, galley wench, or gran ma at any venue (restaurant, back yard party or campfire) that serves food. Any venue with a Mermaid serving food is called a "Petting Zoo."
A Mermaids "Treasure Chest" (loony discounts on food) is found by scanning the tramp stamp.  This is food and booty exchanged for loony discounts.   (You feed loonies to Mermaids at the Petting Zoo to make their booty bigger.)
A Mermaids treasure chest can lure sailors into doom.  Sometimes it is the siren song during the Karaoke challenge game that causes sailors to "lose their ship" and end up with a (non alcoholic) drink called "crashed on the rocks."
A "Shark" is anyone who is not a Mermaid.
"Land Sharks" are disguised as Sailors, Landlubbers or Pirates.
"Sailors" are 99.9% honest.  "Landlubbers" are 50% honest. "Pirates", well, we know about them, and they are innocent!
"Innocent" are pirates punished with booty or booby prizes.
"Bootymaster" is a judge you bribe that only punishes the innocent.  They are also a banker that can't count and a commander with no strategy.  They are the "House" for gambling on rigged games and bets where the only rule is "You lose!" They are the leader of a country.
"Country" is your homepage. (Which makes you a Bootymaster)
The Flag of your country is a QR code.  Display it on your phone screen. When somebody scans your phone screen and registers with the Pirate Dive Bar they automatically become a citizen of your country.  This is called the "Tramp Stamp Game."
Citizens could volunteer to pay you a 10% tax on their loony booty. If they don't, you could punish them for being innocent of paying the booty tax. This is why you only punish the innocent with booty or booby prizes.  Since one person is just as innocent as another, you can punish any innocent person until they prove they are guilty.
"Citizen" is a person that registers after scanning your (QR code) tramp stamp.  (Similar to Youtube or FB subscribers)  Your quality and quantity of citizens increase your chances of scoring cash & booty!
A TAVE (Thrift And Volunteer Exchange) is found at the bottom of your country page.  This is for loony coupons that describe good deeds.
A carnival booth, is also at the bottom of your country page and it contains loony coupons that describe good cheer.
A "Carnival booth" is created by anyone to have fun playing with their loony booty.
"Loony Coupons" are the infrastructure of your country.  They tell others of the good cheer and good deeds you are sharing "pot luck" style.
Find or create a "Tramp Stamp treasure map" for your loony booty.
"Surrender The Booty" is the name of fund raising games for 501 C 3 nonprofits that turn "Special Heroes into Super Heroes!"
The biggest booty wins!
Good cheer and good deeds are how you celebrate birthdays. Pirate School and Carnival Booth* teach you how to safely join in boat parades and practice having celebrations so you will be ready for July 4, 2026.
Watch the 15 minute tutorial so you will know why good pirates get loony at Pirate School and bad pirates drop out  and score booty at the carnival.  Captains and crew can learn how to form boat crews then get a start time for boat parades, position in a squad, how to start and stop in groups and the boat parade safety rules. Each boat will go live for 10 seconds during the parade to advertise their carnival booth. You will learn how to get your exact time for the live broadcast and how to create and rehearse for your 10 seconds of fame.
Start by checking in to a venue or you can create your own.  Other people can check in to the venue you create and form teams. Your venue can be  stationary like a sports bar or mobile like a boat. Later the venue you create can turn your boat or back yard venue into an interactive live streamed carnival booth during a boat parade or for any type of celebration, birthday, wedding or our 250th Birthday!
Attend pirate school or operate your carnival booth to celebrate as often as you can so you will be ready for our 250th birthday!
Tournament play is here 6 - 8pm EST Saturdays
*A carnival booth is also called a "TAVE" or Thrift And Volunteer Exchange.  It is found at the bottom of every players country page.
"Loony Coupons" are Birthday gifts found at your TAVE.  Loony  coupons are created by high spirited patriotic pirates to share good cheer and good deeds that makes their country stronger!
What a great gift! Just what your country wanted, good cheer and good deeds!

Special Heroes into Super Heroes!

This book is the Atlanta Volunteers business plan to create employment and housing for 30 special Heroes every year.  It is a free pdf download or you can buy it on Amazon.  (Caution! It is a business plan and not an interesting read!)
A 30 minute video documentary is made for each of the 30 Special Heroes we hope to help every year.  It tells the story of how quality of life issues were solved and all the steps needed to turn a Special Hero into a Super Hero!
30 stories every year become a TV series called "Special Heroes."  People watching this TV series become inspired as they learn how to turn their loved ones into Super Heroes!
The interactive crowd sourced commercials on the TV series advertise the Super Hero businesses to make them successful.
Everything starts with having fun!  Good cheer and good deeds is where every story for every Special Hero begins.
The first vocational group home is in Forsyth County Georgia and is pictured below.  Special Heroes typically have a variety of therapies throughout their life.  Recreational therapy is a specialty that makes difficult, exhausting and sometimes painful therapy fun,  or at least as fun as therapy can be!   Instead of doing repetitions with weights, a recreational therapist may have somebody kneading dough to make bread or hammering nails to make a bird house.  Same motion, same resistance, same muscles but now the person is having fun doing their therapy.  The Karaoke Challenge game is a unique twist on a variety of learning, speaking, physical, occupational and social skills.  It has an inclusion surprise from  a prepared audience that reacts as a rehearsed flash mob for cheering, dancing and high fiving the performer.  One 5 minute boost of confidence can be a life changing event for a person with a profound speaking and social challenge once they are turned into a Super Hero on stage.
Having fun, even a just a smile can instantly change your quality of life…
Safety is the very first fun thing you should learn and this begins our first business. The idea is to have swimming, scuba, sailing and other watersports customers create enough revenue to fund the remaining construction of this vocational group home.
The vocational group home will be the model that inspires you to turn loved ones into Super Heroes.  You will be able to visit and be part of miracles being created!

Our about page tells you everything!
Time, money or things.  Create a reason for somebody to use PayPal to donate.
1 minute of volunteer time = 1 loony = 25 cents.  Change any or all values in that equation and you have our fund raising strategy.
If a restaurant gives you $3 off a hamburger for 4 loonies, why wouldn't you donate $1 to get $3 off?
If a volunteer will clean up the beach for an hour, for 100 loonies would you transfer 100 loonies on your phone to them?  You don't give the volunteer any money, you give it to your favorite nonprofit and get a receipt for taxes.  The volunteer wants a donated bicycle that costs 100 loonies. The beach gets cleaned up.  The volunteer gets a bicycle.  The person who donated the bicycle has loonies to trade for food discounts, or games at carnival booths. The nonprofit got 100% of your  donation. (Each nonprofit has their own deal with PayPal but that is typically about 1.99%) and you got a donation receipt for being a Hero!  Your donation has one more magical feature called "recycling."  It is how we add the good cheer and good deeds of pirate adventure.  It is explained in our mission video.
Loonies shrink by 15% each time they are transferred. Eventually somebody will have to donate again to keep having fun!

Pirate School Departments
You need a minimum of two people for Pirate School.  It is self guided since everyone in class has to learn, do and teach.  You check into a venue and post your availability.  The default time is 1 to 5 pm on Saturdays.  Right after that Pirate School trivia and carnival booth are from 6 to 8 pm.
Use the links on this page to find or create a venue where you can learn, do and teach.  Pick a topic from this page or create your own topic.  If you know something well enough to teach, organize a class.  Also on that page you will see how skills are recorded and how you advance in rank.
Part of the leadership skills you develop  is learning how to organize a class.   Good luck!
Where will you attend Pirate School?

When citizens from here visit your country they can click on your social media links like youtube, Patreon, Only Fans or whatever you have.  You get more viewers and paid customers. If your tramp stamp is posted on your social media, you get more citizens here. The quality and quantity of your citizens increases your chances of scoring booty and cash. 30 people will get 1% of episode gross for our TV series called Special Heroes!  You my even collect a 10% booty tax from your citizens by making an example when you punish the innocent with booty or booby prizes.

Biggest Booty wins!

Pirate School Rules
Pirate school is free!  You spend or earn with your loony booty.
Loonies are traded each time you learn, do or teach Boating and Water Safety.  Trading loonies automatically creates a public ledger and proof you completed a skill with another person.
You must learn, do and teach each skill no matter what your qualification or experience.  Even if you have never put on a band aid, cleared a mask underwater on scuba, or raised a sail on a sailboat, you must learn, do, and then teach that skill to show you have mastered it.
You spend loonies with anyone to learn and do the skill.  You are then are paid in loonies to teach the skill.
Credit cards are only used at PayPal to donate 100% to 501 C 3 nonprofits that we list and PayPal verifies.  You get 1 loony for every 25 cents you donate.
Cash can only be used to feed Mermaids at the Petting Zoo or to recycle your loony booty for cash.  (You will have to watch the mission video to know what that means)
Pirate School trivia is from 18:00 to 20:00 EST on Saturdays.  Each correct answer is 3 loonies.  You can play live at Annuziata's Pizza or join us online.
You can attend Pirate School at any location anywhere in the world. Search your city.  If you don't see a school, create your own.  (You have to teach the skills you want to learn so you might as well create your own Pirate School!)  You can use a pizza restaurant, HOA clubhouse, public park, boat, swimming pool, beach and even your back pack as a location for Pirate School.

This boat parade training is similar to the training for any parade.
The whole parade knows how to stop and start together for traffic and emergencies.
You have a numbered position, squad and group.

Your boat has a position in a 10 boat squad.  3 squads in a group. Your group has a specific start time that could be hours after the first boats start.  Everyone in the parade knows how to communicate so they can start and stop together.  There are safety rules and emergency procedures for every boat.  There are practice sessions for squads and groups.  Above and beyond we have something you have never seen with any parade.  We call it a "Carnival Booth."  We have a search engine that lets anyone watching the boat parade from home, connect with any boat in the parade and see sports, games, performances and win prizes in each boats' carnival booth.  Whether you see a broadcast on TV,  livestreams from our drones, cell phones on any boat, cameras from shore or cell phones from anywhere, you can exchange points with any boat for fun and games with their Carnival Booth.  Each boat has a default carnival booth when they register.  It is up to every captain and crew to improve their carnival booth to joyously celebrate our 250th birthday,  July 4, 2026.
You can use this boat parade training for any type of parade to make each boat or float interactive with anyone watching.
